Product Description This pack of table tennis balls from Butterfly® contains six ITTF-approved, three-star balls.
Product Description The Butterfly Three Star Table Tennis Ball Six-Pack contains six of Butterfly's three-star 40-millimeter table tennis balls in either white or orange. Butterfly's three-star balls have been chosen as the official ball of the ITTF World Junior Circuit through 2007 and were the official ball of the 2004 North American Olympic Doubles Trials. USATT and ITTF approved, only the best table tennis balls are included in Butterfly's three-star packs, and are chosen for their exceptional roundness and consistency through a rigorous quality-control process. About Butterfly Hikosuke Tamasu founded Tamasu Co., Ltd. in the small town of Yanai City, Japan in 1950. This was the beginning of a company career which is almost unique in table tennis. A renowned international for Japan, Tamasu fulfilled his dream of a lifetime when he made his hobby his profession. At that time, he could hardly imagine that he would make Butterfly the leading brand worldwide. Creativity, durability, and a profound technical knowledge meant success. 0ver and over again he looked for new possibilities in order to optimize techniques by innovative playing material. Tamasu realized that each player is different and has strengths and weaknesses. By offering individual playing material Tamasu wanted to help players right from the beginning to emphasize their individuality. Since 1983 Butterfly has its own training and research center in Tokyo. Highly qualified scientists co-operate with world class players and coaches for the development of rubber and blade technology. Butterfly's rubbers and blades are used by more than half of the participants at World and European Championships.

Butterfly B3Y640C ITTF Approved 3-Star 40mm Table Tennis Balls (6-Pack, Orange) April 2, 2010 R. Baig I found these excellent for consistent bounce and longer rallies. They have got good traction and a longer life then any other table tennis ball. If you really want to improve your game, you would really prefer the Butterfly ITTF approved balls over any other 3 star balls.
Performs well, but quality issue? February 1, 2010 Richard P. Willard (Olathe, KS USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a semi-avid player; I play for an hour three times a week over lunch at work with a few competitive players. I have used Butterfly 3-star balls many times before without a problem (always supplied by one of the other players). It was my turn to get some balls so I bought the six pack via amazon. So far we have used 3 of the balls (the third only being put into play this week). The first two didn't last very long. Usually each of the balls last through 3-4 weeks of play before they crack or wear thin. The first two from the ones I bought never made it a week, one only making it one day. I suppose it could be a coincidence but their longevity has been a disappointment. Perhaps they were old or mis-stored.
These Table Tennis Balls are Excellent - well made. January 9, 2010 PaulD This is my second purchase of these balls... they are balanced very well and much better than the cheaper balls on the market - they hold up better, too. I highly recommend you purchase these. I recommend the orange color, as well.
One of the best TT balls August 2, 2009 TucsonShopper (Tucson, Arizona) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Excellent top quality ball (a best buy). I like these better than Joola Super 3-Star (very poor durability), Donic 3-Star Balls, and Stiga T0641 3-Star Table Tennis Balls, 6-Pack (Orange) (best of these three) being faster and more durable (and durability has become a big issue today). But, as tomthree points out - these are not as good as the even faster and more durable Nittaku Premium 3-Star Balls (the standard for players at my local tournaments). Note: TSP (hard to find anywhere), DHS Athens, and Double Fish 3-star balls (not currently available at Amazon) are also very good. Now, the Butterfly is a fairly soft ball... softer than the all of the others mentioned (and so, they don't bounce quite as well but they do allow for greater control). However, again as tomthree points out, the butterfly's are cheaper with the Nittaku Premium 6-pack normally going for $13.50 (plus shipping). Your level of play (and budget) as well as bounce and control preference will determine whether Stiga, Butterfly, or Nittaku Premiums (the harder to find TSP, DHS, and Double Fish not withstanding) are best for you; I'm currently a Butterfly player.
Look nice, play well June 28, 2009 B. Mogg (Dallas, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I can't say that these are definitively better than other 3-star balls, but it does add a hint of swagger among the group when I pull these babies out. Very consistent spins, orange color makes them easy to see in lightning fast rallies. I haven't played with any other brand since I bought these. Highly recommended if not only for a mental boost.
